The first "champion" in the history of cycling began his career at 19, racking up victories year after year. In his career he won 106 road races and 965 on the track. He won the Giro d'Italia in 1919 and 1923 and triumphed at the 1929 Wolber Grand Prix where he managed to defeat the Pellissièr brothers at home. A super well-illustrated monograph.
