Former Hungarian cycling champion Ferenc Gillemot has died at the age of 41. He was born on September 11, 1875 in Budapest.
Of French origin, Ferenc Gillemot practiced cycling, football, rowing, swimming, and winter sports. He was also the very first coach of the Hungarian national football team. Out of his 5 matches as coach, he won 3.
Afterwards, he became a referee, sports journalist and even a university professor. He died in 1916 in World War I combat in Petrosani, Romania.
