Biography of Dori Ruano, Spanish cycling champion and politician who competed in road and track cycling. On the road, she was a multiple-time Spanish national champion in both the road race and time trial; on the track, she specialized in the points race.
She won two medals at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships: gold in 1998 and silver in 1997.[1] On the road, she won a bronze medal in the 2001 UCI Road World Championships in the time trial.
She participated in three Summer Olympic Games, between 1992 and 2004, earning an Olympic diploma for seventh place in the points race at Sydney 2000. In Barcelona 1992 she finished 42nd in the road race, in Sydney 2000 she finished 18th in the time trial, and in Athens 2004 she again finished 18th in the time trial.
