Super well-illustrated biography of Mariann Nagy (also known as Marianna Nagy), a Hungarian pair figure skater, actress, and choreographer. Born on January 13, 1929, in Szombathely, Hungary, she gained prominence in the mid-20th century as a competitive skater, partnering with her brother László Nagy to win multiple bronze medals at World and European Figure Skating Championships and competing in three Winter Olympics (1948, 1952, and 1956). )
Later, she contributed to Hungarian cinema in acting and choreography roles, including an appearance in the short film Winter's Tale (1953) and a dual role as ice dancer and choreographer in Napfény a jégen (1961). Her film work reflected her performance arts and skating background, though her screen appearances were limited. She resided in Hungary throughout her life and died on May 3, 2011, in Budapest.
