Excellent well-illustrated and interesting read on the first years of the FA Cup.
The early history of the FA Cup is all too often glossed over in the rush to get to the clubs we all know about, but without those early pioneers, most of whom not only played the game but ran the committees and even refereed matches, we wouldn't have the competition we have today. The club profiles are extremely well researched, although there's no clarity over where the Old Carthusians played, and the player profiles are unbelievably detailed. This is a must for anyone interested in genuine football history.
