The story of Calvin “Bummy” Symonds, Bermuda’s second player ever in English soccer when he moved to
Rochdale. This book is well-illustrated with numerous photos of cupwinning teams in the fifties and sixties when soccer was still a segregated sport in Bermuda with a “white” and a “black” league. Also features a great team-photo from the first game in the Bermuda Football League (after merging black and white). “Bummy” Symonds played first for Key West Rangers who would later on become Pembroke Hamilton Club, the most successful club in Bermuda soccer history. Includes also photos of the BFL selection.
