Cenzi Flendrovsky (1872–1900) is an emancipated young Austrian woman with a wide range of interests, but above all she is a keen cyclist. In her early twenties she joined a cycling club and was soon competing successfully. As a woman, there were a lot of obstaclesto overcome, but Cenzi doesn't give up. She sews practical cycling clothing, races to Trieste and Berlin and leaves everyone behind.
The journalist and cycling historian Petra Sturm has rediscovered Cenzi Flendrovky and tells of her eventful life as a cyclist: from the intensive years of her passion for cycling in rapidly urbanizing Vienna at the turn of the century to her dramatic, much too early death.
