He was Argentine, South American and Pan American champion.
In 1951 he won the gold medal at the 1951 Pan American Games in Buenos Aires in the kilometer time trial.
He was a member of the Argentine delegation to the 1948 London Olympic Games and the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games, obtaining in the latter case fourth place with an Olympic diploma, missing the bronze medal by only two tenths of a second. The latter was the best Olympic result in Argentine cycling until Juan Curuchet won the gold medal in Beijing 2008.
In 1947, at the age of 24, he won the Santa Fe speed championship and the following year he became Argentine road champion.
In 1947 he won the Argentine speed championship and became South American champion twice, in the Australian and semi-distance events. In 1949 he was three times Argentine and South American champion, in speed, kilometer against the clock and Australian, and was also a finalist in the World Championships in Denmark.
Between 1950 and 1951 he was runner-up at the Argentino de San Juan, first place at the Pan-American Championship in Buenos Aires and the Argentine championship. He became Argentine champion again in 1953 and 1954.
He won two gold medals at the 1951 and 1955 Pan American Games.
