The Rocher de Freÿr, are the most important climbing area in Belgium and one of western Europe's best-kept climbing secrets. Steep white limestone faces rise sharply above the placid river Meuse in southern Belgium, close to the French border, along with lots of other small cliffs that hide away in the countryside among farms and forests. The area around Freÿr, in fact, offers over 100 cliffs. The best, however, are the big west-facing walls at Freÿr.
