Postcard issued by Bolivia’s two topclubs in honour of Pilot/Captain Faustino Rico Toro, one of the first Bolivian casualties of the Air-war. He secured his place in Bolivian history when on or around 18 January 1929 he piloted the Fokker C-Vb on a bombing raid on Paraguayan installations in the Chaco. This was the first bombing raid on South-American soil in a war between two countries. Many players of both clubs joined the armed forces in the early stages of the war and clubhistories of both clubs always carry chapters on the Chaco War.
